Sayonara Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 This no longer has anything to do with proxy servers.
Dave Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Indeed not, but at least it's answering some useful questions. Split the thread?
Dave Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Done. Couldn't think of a better thread title, probably needs one though.
5614 Posted August 29, 2004 Author Posted August 29, 2004 ok, i think im doing something wrong with this net send, i type: net send 67.18.105.36 hello to send the message hello to that IP, however i get the error message: message alias could not be found on the network. what does that mean? what am i doing wrong?
Sayonara Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Is this a known IP or did you just make it up?
5614 Posted August 29, 2004 Author Posted August 29, 2004 its the sfn IP, but i've tried different IPs of friends and stuff, i ALWAYS get the same message.
Sayonara Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Netsend is a network protocol. The internet is not your network. I'd appreciate it if you did not attempt to send information to the IP address of the machine this web site is hosted on without having a clue about what it is you're doing.
5614 Posted August 29, 2004 Author Posted August 29, 2004 [reply in 'netstat and netsend' thread] as this line of conversation is heading in that direction.
