Flak Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 Is posible to add a paleontology forum under the Biological Sciences forums?
admiral_ju00 Posted September 6, 2004 Posted September 6, 2004 I've asked several times about Anthropology/Paleontology section, but it's not happening since there's simply no volume at the time. Most people on this site are into Physics, Biology and Math are a close 2nd.
Martin Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I've asked several times about Anthropology/Paleontology section, but it's not happening since there's simply no volume at the time. Most people on this site are into Physics, Biology and Math are a close 2nd. let's start a paleontology thread in biology and talk about mass extinctions and how various things evolved and stuff. maybe it will get plenty of traffic. you take the honor of starting the thread, adm., or if you dont maybe someone else. what's to lose?
admiral_ju00 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I've tryed once. It failed horribly. Here's a linky: Failed thread 1 Then again, many of the threads I create, simply die with minimal or no respones at all. Here are some examples: Failed thread yet again and one more I suppose: Failed 3: So at this point in time, there won't be very many threads I'll create myself. Someone else may take a shot thou.
Martin Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 I've tryed once. It failed horribly. Here's a linky: Failed thread 1 ... not every thread has to aim at being popular with the present community . I notice that "paleblue" just started a thread about the Cambrian explosion (arguably the most important thing that ever happened on earth besides the appearance of life itself) and the lady from chesapeake bay responded with a whole bunch of pictures of Cambrian creepycrawlies. Now that is a worthy thread whether or not it gets much participation
Dave Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Hopefully when we start to get some more traffic (which it looks like we're getting) then we should be able to expand a bit more. Some more subforums might be a nice idea at some point in the future.
