budullewraagh Posted September 11, 2004 Share Posted September 11, 2004 they don't. photons have no mass or volume and thus they have nothing resisting their motion. they are the fastest "things" that exist. quarks have mass and volume and thus cannot exceed the speed of light. 5614 Posted September 11, 2004 Share Posted September 11, 2004 cap'n said it all, theory means it's not possible yet [or ever], no one knows if they exist, its all questions with no answers. quarks can't travel faster than light. as far as we are concerned nothing can travel faster than light, except the 'effectively made up' tachyons...
