praveen Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 what is mean by electric constant? electric constant = 1/(magnetic constant * speed of light) please explain this equation. why we need electric constant? whats the use of that?
swansont Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Is that supposed to be speed of light squared? [math]c = \frac{1}{\sqrt{\epsilon_0\mu_0}}[/math] The two terms are the electric permittivity and magnetic permeability and are present in Maxwell's equations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell's_equations.
