Koyaan Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I recently put on a pair of shorts that I had recently worn, and felt something in the pocket. I reached inside and pulled out a dime that was bent in the middle. I tried to bend it back with my fingers, but this is impossible for anyone but a member of The Power Team to do. I then inspected the coin for signs of tool marks and found none. The dime does not appear to be misshapen other than it is bent. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how a coin can be bent without the use of tools and no signs deformity are present. My only other thought is that it got hot enough in the dryer to cause it to fold in half. Any ideas?
Mr Skeptic Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Fold a piece of paper so it is slightly thick. Use as cushion to not scratch the dime. Now you can use pliers or a vice to flatten out your coin. Your drier does not get hot enough to make a dime bend, much less without burning your pants.
