pulkit Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Just downloaded and saw the village. Though classic M.Night Shayamalam it certainly didn't live upto his previous movies atleast as per me. What do you think ?
5614 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 i havent [although you alread know that] whats it about? what did you think, why wasnt it as good as the others.... dont ruin the story though!
pulkit Posted September 9, 2004 Author Posted September 9, 2004 The plot I felt was revealed a bit too quickly, and the shock value was hardly exploited after building an hour of suspense. It turned out to be an anti-climax of sorts. Though it wasn't as good as the 6th sense, I will definately give it another go at the cinema hall.
atinymonkey Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 It was boring. They were in a village, I got that after 3 min, I didn't need an hour of that. Then there was a loonnnngg wait, then the plot 'twist' and at that point Shayamalam must of lost interest as it just tapered off to nothing.
blike Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 I kept waiting for some sort of further twist, because I called that a mile away. Maybe something like: "Psych!!!!! It's really a timewarp wormhole that ripped through the fabric of space which caused a 19th century villiage to end up in the 21st century, caused by aliens who just tried to invade during Signs but failed because of H2O which their highly advanced species had no protection against! PSYCH AGAIN, it was all a dream and it's really a 19th century village!! PSYCH!! It was really just THE MATRIX!" Well, something like that.
Sayonara Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I can't believe anyone still watches his films.
Dave Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 I get the impression that this film probably isn't any good. The matrix twist could have been amusing (welcome back btw )
