Newbies_Kid
Can we see the molecular chain of polymers by using just an optical microscope with 100x magnification (max)?? thanks in advance..
dubaya311
The short answer is no. With electron microscopes you can see how crystalin polymer chains pack, but you can't resolve individual chains. If you have a good film you can get pretty good resolution using atomic force microscopes. The one thing you can see with an optical microscope and a couple polarizers is birefringence caused by crystalin domains.
Newbies_Kid
that's really help. thanks. but if we don't have atomic force microscope can we use FESEM (field electron scanning microscope)?
