netrat Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 If you have ever come across a laser pointer, you might have noticed that looking at laser reflection on any surface like a wall looks strange. It looks like a sort of TV screen without cable connection. I mean it looks like a mixture of bright and dark spots. I hope i made myself clear. Any explanation?
insane_alien Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 its just an interference patternt caused by the differing path lengths of light to reach your eye. 1
John Cuthber Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 There's more about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speckle_pattern 1
