Geek Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 A conical pendulum consists of a bob of mass 0.3kg attached to a firm string of length 0.67m. The bob rotates in a circle of radius 0.36m, vertically below the point of suspension. Calculate: i) the linear speed of the bob ii) the period of rotation of the bob iii) the tension in the string Please help!!!
Mr Skeptic Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 The first thing you need to calculate is the centripetal force (gravity and angle of the string). Once you calculate that I'll give you another hint if you need one.
