Butters Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Okay, this may seem like a stupid question, but how do I quote somebody in a post reply? I realise that I can put them in a quote box, but how do I specify who it was who said it if I am quoting multiple people. I'm sure it's very simple but I've been messing around for ages and can't get it to work! Help me please, I'm new to forums. See, how do I change the word quote to the user name?
Mr Skeptic Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Click the "reply" button to reply to one person, and the "multiquote" button to respond to several people. This will automatically insert both the name and a link to the post in question.

swansont Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 The syntax for the quote attribution is quote name='Great Orator' Whatever Using the "reply" button adds a timestamp and generates link to the post, so that's better to use when quoting a post.
Butters Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 It's always so obvious after being told. Thanks for the help!
