Zolar V Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 So i have an HP netbook with 1 gb of memory and win7 professional. Can i upgrade the computers memory with laptop memory or are the memory modules in the net-book different? could i also change the cpu ? it is a intel atom. the model number on the computer is: mini 110-3030nr
TonyMcC Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 It seems RAM upgrade is quite easy - If you google "HP netbook RAM upgrade" you will get lots of information. I think changing the cpu may be possible, but more difficult.
Mr Skeptic Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 They could be different. But if they fit they will probably work.
CharonY Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 AFAIK Atom is soldered onto the motherboard. However RAM is the same. Just check the specs.

I have Linux on both, which I have tuned and turned off demons I don't need. They are fast. I use the solid state one for overseas travel, and I have dual-booted the other with Linux + XP [in case I need it, which is rare].
