Kevin23 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I'm new here and I need some help with the stats/graphing aspect of my college level-environmental science homework, and since I've browsed this forum more then a few times I thought that some of the good folks here could help me! As the homework which deals with graphing ocean currents, first begins with a series of buoy coordinates in which there are 8 box sets of that contain anywhere from 5 at the least to over 20 at the most. The graphing map it's self which is of the Northern Pacific Ocean, has a longitude range running vertically in the middle of the map running from 20 to 60, and a latitude range at the very bottom running from 140 to -120. In addition there are no numbers or scales anywhere else on the map other then in the areas I described. However, when I mentally run it, it doesn't make sense as all of the currents would be running downwards towards the bottom. Could someone help me out with this, and would I be current in plotting my latitude points towards the bottom of the map where the scale is? Thanks,
