Genecks Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) So, I've come across a certain terminology aspect in literature. It's like this: ICa. 2 fold increases in ICa cause 16 fold increase in release I looked at this and thought, "Calcium iodide, what? No, the bonds don't work that way." Anyway, I went online and about the only thing that made sense was that the I stands for "iodized." Does this seem right to any of you? This is the first time I've come across a term like this. Mr Skeptic Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Gotta watch out for abbreviations. It could be a chemical or a protein. Just searching the phrase you gave gives this: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1476-5381.2010.00996.x/abstract It would seem there it is a current of calcium.
