Can possibilities ever end?

Not sure just how much on the up and up it is, but one of my kids emailed this to me: so I went on the internet to check it out. Sure enough, it was there! At least ten different versions. Maybe it's like a Rhino and a King Cobra being best pals, I don't know? Or does someone just make this stuff up? Well, at least the two seem to get along pretty good together and started me wondered if they were coked up or tokin on a bit of weed? Even then, it would have taken quite a while to pull this stunt off. But do things like this actually happen in the wild? I saw some time back where a 30 year chimp had blinded his masters friend and chewed her face off, but nothing like this. Are we missing something here?

A few meaning of speculation:

Contemplation or consideration of a subject; meditation.

A conclusion, opinion, or theory reached by conjecture.

Reasoning based on inconclusive evidence; conjecture or supposition.

 

I wasn't thinking of a sciencific break through, just wondering how it's possible that opposite animal types can be so nice to each other without having ulterior motives, like humans?

Well, both animals very social as such it does not appear extremely unusual to me. For instance, you often see kids closing in on a dog to pet them etc. And depending on the dog, some actually enjoy it. Whether the videos are authentic (i.e. really showing their first encounter or not) is a different matter. Also, if the organg likes to share food (for instance) it is even easier.

I don't really see much reason to doubt it. As CharonY said, both are very social creatures. Also, dogs are domesticated by man and that chimp seems pretty friendly with people too. Odds are the chimp has interacted with dogs before, even if not that particular dog, and also seen humans do likewise. So he could have learned how to interact with other animals like people do.
