Guest McGrady Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Why Does a glowing splint durst into flame when xoygen gas is tested. i kinda know why its bc fire needs oxygen to ignite and to keep burning but idk how ot put it in a good sentence.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Because normal air is only 20% oxygen, and when a flame is put in a atmosphere of pure oxygen it can burn much faster, as there is more oxygen to react with the splint.
