alpha2cen Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 kinetic method. High temperature collison plasma phase -------- consider as reaction state High temperature plasma state --------------->known particles(which have kinetic energy) +unseen matter(which have kinetic energy) + unseen matter(which have no kinetic energy, remaining around the collision point) If we did particle collision fast and continuously, the concentration of unseen matter which have no kinetic energy would increase with time. And the reaction rate must be increased or decreased with time. We can detect known particle intensity which is increased or dicreased with time. I think decrease is more better. Impotent one is other experiment condition have to be maintained constaltly. This is only for unseen matter(remaining around the collision point).
steevey Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 (edited) So the unseen matter has no kinetic energy, which means its absolute zero in a PLASMA experiment? If I remember correctly, nothing can reach absolute zero, only infinitely close to it. Edited November 19, 2010 by steevey
alpha2cen Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 (edited) That is reasonable. It means any unseen matter which remains surround the collision point. We don't know the unseen matter property yet. And there is no way to contain them. The unseen matters may have any different property than well known particles. One of hopes is a different low transfer ability at super high temperature. If so we can detect it from other particles with intensity variation. Before we develop suitable detection method, this one is one of the alternatives. Edited November 19, 2010 by alpha2cen
steevey Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 How exactly did they notice that there should be unseen matter specifically, and why?
alpha2cen Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) Assumption. From cosmology. Very high temperature condition similar to Big Bang. Plasma-----------> Matter + Dark Matter + ... Simply Plasma --------> Matter .............Rm ...........--------> Dark Matter .............Rdm ...........--------> Others .............Ro -Rp = Rm + Rdm + Ro R; mass reaction kinetic rate(mass/ time . total plasma volume) If Rp=constant, Dark Matter or others were removed slowly from the plasma phase, next period Rm value would be lower or higher than initial state. Everything is assuption. Important thing is that unseen matter's exitance. Edited November 22, 2010 by alpha2cen
