pioneer Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Mac comes with an application called boot camp. Boot Camp helps to install windows on a separate partition. It also includes the drivers needed to run a mac based computer in windows, since some things won't work without these drivers. Boot camp then becomes the way to switch back and forth. I use snow leopard and windows 7 and can read-write between partitions. Windows stills needs anti-virus, while Mac is already protected. Parallels Desktop takes this one step further and allows both operating systems to run at the same time, with one able to drag and drop between OS's. Boot camp comes with Mac, but you need to purchase Parallel.
