Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Nothing has happened so far... and Sayo just left.
Lance Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Nothing has happened so far... and Sayo just left. Youre not surprised are you?
Gilded Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Damn, this is like the bloody Euros. First you think they're damn great, and then when you have them you realize they're just... cash.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Yes, but with the thought that something special would happen, we had good reason. I think.
blike Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Give me some time! I'm pretty busy till thursday. However, I will reinstall the arcade as soon as I can!
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 YAY! Anyways... now all we have to do is wait for Sayo to hit 10,000, which will be another month or two. Then we can celebrate again.
5614 Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Give me some time! I'm pretty busy till thursday. However, I will reinstall the arcade as soon as I can! s'ok man, we can wait a bit.............. thursday or else!!!! -- echo what cap'n said --
MolecularMan14 Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 WHOA! what? that was really the 100,000th?? True 5614, it is a shame that was such a boring post I will reinstall the arcade as soon as I can! SWEEEET!!!! AN ARCADE!!! I've asked sean, my flash making associate, and he's agreed to look into some cool games for the arcade. Thanks man!
Gilded Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 It would be awesome to have a game just for SFN. Maybe a science related quiz of some sort, done with Flash? Or perhaps a "Sayonara's Ultra Deluxe Troll Shooter 2000" when Sayo reaches 10 000
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I think that would be rather fun. He would be very proud of it.
5614 Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 "Maybe a science related quiz of some sort" -- Gilded come on! we wanna make halo3 and GTA SFN before we need quizes!! "perhaps a "Sayonara's Ultra Deluxe Troll Shooter 2000" when Sayo reaches 10 000" -- Gilded now that sounds like fun! thursaday tommorrow, arcade soon!
Gilded Posted October 28, 2004 Posted October 28, 2004 Yay for da arcade! :> Perhaps "Sayonara's Thread Locking" as a reflex test based game would be nice too.
5614 Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 hmmmm, wonder what sayo thinks of these games! (Sayonara's Thread Locking" as a reflex test based game & Sayonara's Ultra Deluxe Troll Shooter 2000) anyway, blike, whats happening with the arcade?
MolecularMan14 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 lol, i like the ideas for the games How about "ExtraSense's Conspiracies" for a good mystery game. You would have to find clues on how there are actually toads on Mars, and flowers on Venus
Martin Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 what use is it thinking up ways to celebrate? we are now way past the 100,000th already Too late to celebrate, so start thinking of ways to mark the 500,000 or the 1 millionth BTW Molecularman, belated congratulations!
MolecularMan14 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 lol, thanks man. I still think we should have an arcade, so whenever blike gets to it, I'll be happy btw- Im starting a SFN Folding@Home team and a UD team, so skip on over to those threads for some more info
5614 Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 "we are now way past the 100,000th already" blike sent me reply to my PM asking about the arcade section. he said it was being installed and it takes time.
Sayonara Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Yes, some changes can be made in seconds. A lot of mods however require that you edit code by hand in various documents, run scripts on the database etc etc. It's usually the big ones like an entirely new section which are tedious and difficult to implement, but some "simple" ones can be surprisingly demanding too. The worst ones are those which don't uninstall easily, and then go and choke forum upgrades.
