According to the US department of the treasury the total national debt is 6trillion 414billion 860million,990thousand and 193dollars.

$6,414,860,990,193.10.

Thats a heck of a lot more than 2% of the US economy. VERY VERY LARGE!!!!!!!

I dont think any other country could ever handle that debt by honests means.

So by Bush getting the oil in Iraq we would probbably be free from debt sounds like a coinsidence lol

Going on past experience and the way they are sucking up to the Arabs now and insulting the Americans its clear they are setting themselves up as the Arabs friends in the West. The result will be getting all the juicy contracts.

The Americans will be the dirty work and then let the French get all the profits.

The government owes roughly forty percent of this money to itself, through the Federal Reserve Bank and other government accounts. The majority of the debt is owed to foreign investors, insurance companies, banks, and other privately held entities. The money is used to operate the federal government, which currently costs around two trillion dollars a year.

As Lloyds of London, and the other UK insurance companies represent the majority of insurance and underwriters across the globe, I wonder how much the US owes us? No wonder Bush describes it as a Special Relationship between the UK and US, we appear to be buying the beer.

Perhaps if there was less tea chucked into harbours the debt would reduce somewhat. :D

As far as I'm concerned, Saddam can go to hell. I've never helped that bastard and any of his terrorizing Islamic women. I'm a great president. You guys should show more graditude for what's been given to you.

and you're sure you're the president?

....the fact that you'd say something like this is that you're abusing the fact that a few of the people here have actually accepted the fact that you're a 'social worker' (was it?) Working for the prez....before you start making worthless comments, you might want to look at what you're going to say at someone else's point of view.

You can have Iraq, since Saddam is going somewhere hotter.

Someone helped him, because in the Iran/Iraq war the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA provided him with weapons!

you can't control the global market. you can have influence in it. but you can't control it. they sell american fighter jets on the arabian black market. who cares. we may re-arm them, but at least now that they have american equipment, we know how to use it against them. considering we made it.

doesnt sound so dumb anymore.. does it?
