Scozzar Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hello everyone. I have a question about AP Computer Science AB. I plan on taking this course next year as a senior in high school and pursue a career in Computer Engineering or a Systems Analyst. I love me some computers. Now, I have heard that some knowledge about java language is helpful prior to taking this course. As of right now, I have downloaded the Java Development Kit (JDK) and Dr.Java in hopes to get a head-start. I wanted to know if anyone could give me a push in the right direction from here. Where do I start learning the very basics of Java? I have some experience on Python, but Python isn't used in AP C.S. So a push in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time
Bignose Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Amazon has to carry several "introduction to java" books. Any of those would probably be a decent start. You local library probably has some, and if not, should be able to get them via interlibrary loan, too.
Scozzar Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 I've been using online tutorials actually. They're much better than the books I've seen
