Anura Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) What does it mean if a computer is low on RAM? And should I be worried? Thank you. Edited December 3, 2010 by Anura
Scozzar Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 It's not a problem. You just need to buy some more. First you need to decide what kind it is: 1. Download Cpu Z located here 2. Install and and go to the Tab that says "Memory" 3. It should say something like DDR3 and the amount underneath it. That'll tell you what you need. CPU-Z is a very small program. So dont be worried about taking space
Anilkumar Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hello Anura, I think there is no need to worry, unless your applications or programmes need more of it. When your computer is low on RAM the only thing that would happen is, the application runs slowly. If it is too low it gets held up. So it is better to work with applications and programmes that require that much RAM which you have. Or if you have to work with applications which require more RAM then you have to add more RAM. It is availabe in the market for a price. No need to panic.

skyhook Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I searched for defrag harddisk, and came across defrag RAM. It never occured to me to defrag ram, maybe you can try to download a free software to do that. free software isn't always safe though.
