Primarygun Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Will the space trip for bringing mineral and some useful materials back to the earth be created later?
Gilded Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 "Will the space trip for bringing mineral and some useful materials back to the earth be created later?" Huh? indeed. It seems that you posted in the wrong thread or something.
r1dermon Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 hey, its ok...we still love you primarygun, after all, "imagination is more important than knowledge".... has your mom ever told you how 'special' you are?
Primarygun Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 My mother works and I seldom see her. How special I am?
YT2095 Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Very, take our word for it ) now then, alu powder...
Gilded Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Yesterday, I visited a store with all sorts of furniture/painting related stuff. I couldn't locate any aluminum in the paint section. In which sort of painting it's used? I have a hunch that it's used in boat painting, but I'm not too sure. I did buy myself some nice transparent-plastic coated copperwires for electric ignition, though.
r1dermon Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 yes, boat painting. find a WEST MARINE store, they will have it. its like...400+ mesh, but it'll work.
boris_73 Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 is a west marine shop an american company or is it international because i would like to get hold of some aluminium powder
Gilded Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Now that you mention the company's name, I actually found West aluminum powder on amazon some time ago.
r1dermon Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 oh...lol. sorry boris. west marine is american, im not sure if they are international. but i know they are american.

r1dermon Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 how is it being shipped? alum powder is hazmat. ups charges 20 dollars per order. but the us postal service(usps) will do this order for free, as long as its under a certain limit.(lbs)
YT2095 Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Hazmat = HAZzardous MATerial, for those unsure.
budullewraagh Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 well, i was charged $7.50, the flat rate of all unitednuclear materials
Gilded Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 "speaking of aluminum powder...i'm getting some of the ultrafine 2 micron particle sized german imported dark aluminum dust among other chems from unitednuclear in a few weeks. order went out with the mail today :)" Now I have to cry myself to sleep again.
r1dermon Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 must be shipping via usps, i was just wondering what UN's shipping preference was.
Guest zerglingpyre Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Have you guys seen pyroaluminum.com? Thats where I go to get my aluminum. They only sell in 2 pound incriments though ( sucks ) I just wait a couple day an order again. 2 micron, Great stuff.
budullewraagh Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 i hadnt heard of it until today. they sell for about half the price of unitednuclear's german dark aluminum. good stuff
Gilded Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 Some of us have to buy 0.5kg 60 micron for £17.95. >:/
