ammonium nitrate Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 where i live, there was a building ready to9 collapse aws the bricke and windows were spontaneusly breaking and the building had moved 6 inches in four hours, in the intrests of public safety, they tore down the building later that night, but did not have time to track down the owner of the center city building to inform him and he arrived the next day to a pile of rubble and has since taken the auckland district council to court, does public safety override ownership and permission
cypress Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Yes public safety overrides private property within reasonable limits. the owner has an obligation to maintain the building. failure to maintain it forfeits property rights.
