murshid Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 (edited) . Is this possible? Or is it photoshopped? Edited January 2, 2011 by murshid
md65536 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Since it's only approximately a Fibonacci spiral I would guess that the spiral shape is not due to photoshopping (otherwise, why not make it more perfect?). In the bottom left corner of the largest box, a Fibonacci spiral would aim straight down and curve to the right rather than continue off to the left. Also, all the boxes should be square and none of them are very close. Without that, you don't get the proper ratios that make it a Fibonacci spiral. This is just a spiral. It's pretty cool though.
swansont Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 No, the boxes and text are not naturally occurring. They are definitely photoshopped in. 1
tomgwyther Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Nice picture. here's one I made using my desk-top background. The photo is genuine; you can still see quite a close correlation between the Fibonacci spiral and the path of the water. Little more than a curiosity, but still looks quite cool though.
