scilearner Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) Ok I can see the 5 end is negative, is the 3 end positive due to OH. So in other strand this goes other way round. cypress Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Yes, the two strands have reverse polarity of the 5' Methyl and 3' Hydroxyl groups in that they proceed in the opposite direction on each strand.
