That's easy...

 

The University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) is Maine's only medical school. It is located in Biddeford, Maine and grants the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree. It is accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) and by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The college is part of the University of New England.

The state of Maine has a few medical schools to prepare students for careers in the health care industry. New England states are close in proximity and students from the bordering states may also attend the programs offered by Maine schools such as osteopathic medicine, dental hygiene or nursing. Some of the colleges and universities are -

Usually New England schools with few or no medical schools of their own have cooperative arrangements with other New England states that give these state residents equal admission preference with their own state residents for medical school places. For example, it used to be the case (and perhaps still is) that Vermont residents were treated as equivalent to Massachusetts residents for admission to Massachusetts state medical schools.
