Martin
UC Berkeley has the tune for a new football fight song. Listen to the tune here: http://www.calband.berkeley.edu/calband/media/audio/CalTriumph.mp3 there was a national competition to come up with the music and it was won by someone who had never composed music before surprisingly but it sound pretty good, and like a fight song should now there is a competition to supply words to go with the tune. this is your chance to become a published poet. compose some lyrics to go with this tune and mail them to UC Marching Band 72 Cesar Chavez Student Center Berkeley CA 94720-4280 if you dont think composing lyrics for the college fight song is about education then where is your school spirit
AL
I already finished my undergraduate studies at Cal. School spirit meant nothing to me while I was there, so obviously it means even less than nothing now that I'm not there anymore. If I ever go to grad school at Cal, rest assured school spirit will rise back to its "means nothing to me" status.

Your ideas here could make a good song, but these lyrics as you have written them, do not rhyme. Try breaking what you have written down into short snappy lines that rhyme.
