jnovakov Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew the Mitochondrial content of different tissue types, particularly between the heart, liver and muscle. I just finished a lab where it was found that the succinate activity for the heart was higher, following the liver and then the muscle. I have been looking around and keep finding that muscle(skeletal) has more mitochondria which doesnt make sense to me because shouldnt its succinate activity be faster? Any help would be appreciated Jen
