Izzy_Bee Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Hello all, I am doing a research on Heinz company, I need to know as much as possible about them and as soon as possible!!!! I need to know how much they made, how much they spent, what their employees get in wages. What their policys for working there are, what level of health and safety they have. You know, as much as possible. I have done searches online but there is so much to look through and I only have 2 weeks. Any support is very much appreciated. Donna.
CaptainPanic Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._J._Heinz_Company There you go. Why do you need everything a.s.a.p.? What weird project makes you do a literature study like this in a hurry? Many companies are very closed - it's hard to find out anything except those things that are public information by law.
ewmon Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (For future consideration, Science Forums does have a homework forum.) As to your question, I did the following — I knew that Hoover's is a company that provides information about companies, so I went there and found some info on Heinz. But I wanted to find more companies like Hoover's, so I went to Wikipedia to see how they describe Hoover's, and in the first seven words of their article on Hoover's, Wikipedia describe it as a "business research company" (duh, of course). So I googled business research company, and I found a few other such companies (Manta, etc) including, lo and behold, a link entitled Researching Companies on the Internet - A Tutorial. 2
mississippichem Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) You can find any publicly traded company's balance sheet, retained earnings statement, statement of cash flows, or income statement on "google finance". Be sure to read the auditor's notes. Edited February 4, 2011 by mississippichem 1
