Guest X33F1 Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Hi, I am using CommView 4.1 PacketSniffer, when i start it up im getting an error, "failed to enumerate network adapters", if anyone has any idea on why this is happening / how to fix it, please reply, thanks.
5614 Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 i dont think that your packet sniffer can recognise your network adapter i.e. either your router, modem, hub or maybe your NIC [network interface card]. i'll look into the problem tomorrow, going out now! try using a different packet sniffer such as: As for the sniffer, I use Ethereal Also one site I can recommend is Security Focus just to check its not a problem with the sniffer.

AudioElf Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 "failed to enumerate network adapters", are you on a dialup connection? If so you could try installing the dialup (RAS) driver under the SETTINGS menu.
