vicidius Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I had a few questions regarding the properties of UV light. 1. Why is it easier for long wave UV radiation to penetrate the earth's atmosphere than shortlength waves? 2. What makes sunglasses that protect from long wave UV light different from the sunglasses that protect from short wave UV light? 3. Also, with things like safety glasses and car glass, do they absorb or reflect the UV light that they don't allow through? Thanks for the help in advance!
