Hitman47 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 Well, I can't think of a simple experiment i can do that i can get off a news article. any suggestions??
PogoC7 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 What? Can you clear that up. Don't understand.
Hitman47 Posted February 6, 2003 Author Posted February 6, 2003 Well my previous experment design that I got from a magazine didn't work out. I need an experiment I need to design. The experiment must come from a science article. From there, I develop an experiment from that article.
RED FIRE COW Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 You can try doing the Stroop test it is very simple. Just go to yahoo or google and type in stroop test. its a fun experiment. You can determine a few things about a person from it.
Glider Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 What kind of things can you determine about a person from the results of the Stroop test?
RED FIRE COW Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 You can Determine if they have ADD, ADHD. also how good their brain is in differentiating colors from words. here more info. http://www.snre.umich.edu/eplab/demos/st0/stroopdesc.html
Mastermold Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 It was actually pretty fun to take that test. Finished the last ten "stroop" in 12 seconds! yeah! Although it did require a great deal of thinking to get me to click the color of the word and not the meaning of the word.
PogoC7 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 If you read the whole irc chat posted in the articles. It's the article about the kid dieing in chat room. You can print it out and do an experiment on how people were acting; while there friend (ripper) died from a overdoes. It could be sciencetific or more pycholoical, but ethier way, it's somewhat sad.
aman Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Thanks, that was fun. I love tests. It should make a good project and interest your class. Just aman
