RealFunnyFungi
Two neutral metal spheres X n Y are placed in contact with each other on two insutating supports. A positively charged rod is brought close to X after Y is earthed with a conducting wire. I would like to ask how's the distribution of charges on the spheres. rktpro
Read more about induction and conduction on the net. Do it yourself!
timo
Keep in mind that when the charge distribution is induced from the outside the charges get an additional exclamation mark.
Mr Skeptic
In electrostatics, the charges will move until there is no net force acting on them.
