The Conqueror Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Well, Google is hosting a Science Fair and invites participants aged 13-18 to present a project. I need some experiments or topics that I could perform and which are safe to use. I need some Physics and/or Chemistry project *Topics Only* (Which are quite unique) which I can perform safely. "Google is looking for the brightest, best young scientists from around the world to submit interesting, creative projects that are relevant to the world today. " Could anyone suggest me the same? I have already checked with the Official Rules that the participants are allowed to consult their teachers and elders for choosing appropriate topic. Thank you! Regards, The Conqueror
The Conqueror Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) Sorry for maybe posting in the wrong section. I found numerous project ideas on the internet but none of them appealed to me. Like - Estimating a reaction or predicting phenomenon. Physics-Chemistry related phenomenon really interests me. With reference to my earlier post regarding http://www.sciencefo...inning-of-life/ My Question was :- Should the definition of 'Living Things' be redefined to objects or substances or phenomenon that possess Kinetic Energy? For which michel123456 said that " That could be a good question. I suppose the definition of "living thing" is something that we have to reconsider from time to time. From wikipedia: "It is still a challenge for scientists and philosophers to define life in unequivocal terms.[11][12][13] Defining life is difficult—in part—because life is a process, not a pure substance.[14] Any definition must be sufficiently broad to encompass all life with which we are familiar, and it should be sufficiently general that, with it, scientists would not miss life that may be fundamentally different from life on Earth." " Many suggest that the question is ambiguous however michel123456 thinks that as a good question. Should I take up this as a question for my presentation? Edited February 28, 2011 by The Conqueror
