Pangloss Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Just curious if you Brits on here think Teflon Tony has a chance for a third term.
bloodhound Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 a big YES .. it seems that there is noone better at this moment.
budullewraagh Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 i thought everybody hated him over there
Pangloss Posted September 29, 2004 Author Posted September 29, 2004 Yah ditto, and doesn't he have like a 20-something approval rating?
Sayonara Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 He's tricksy enough to weasel his way back in, even if he is not that popular.
atinymonkey Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Blair may drop out and the much more popular Brown take over the leadership. That will pretty much make Labours election win a lock.
LuTze Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Next year we'll hold the presidency of the EU, and will host the G8 summit. Mr. Blair isn't likely to stand down before them. Although Tony isn't mr. popular at the moment he's still not as disliked as Michael Howard and the Tories. He's got a very good chance of winning the next election.
bloodhound Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 overall, Blair has done a pretty good job, except the mess in Iraq. altough some of his domestic policies like tution top up fees for universities arent very popular. I wonder who will get the student protest votes. lib dems ?
