bloodhound Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 arghh. it should be obvious that u can't use "normal" i.e cos thats for windows. unless your running a pc emulator like virtual pc. then no. all u can run is mac ie. cos its a god damn mac
Sayonara Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 He asked if you could use normal[/b'] IE, not Mac IE. Yes. I know. And it was a retarded question, given the information that was presented beforehand.
Guest bkronbergs Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 after seeing someones screenie with a dual display setup, I decided I would experiment with my Windows XP HP Compaq laptop, and an old CRT monitor, and this is the result:!!
Guest bkronbergs Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 thank you! I realised I didnt click upload, but now, it is working, and the screenie is there!!!
ed84c Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Yes. I know. And it was a retarded question, given the information that was presented beforehand. apologies i dont know much about macs
Guest bkronbergs Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 apologies i dont know much about macs No one seems to unless they actually use them, but believe me, I used a Mac once, and knew I had to have one!!! They really are fantastic, but this is not a sales pitch, and in no respect am I trying to thrust Apples upon "them" to use a tiny bit of a letter sent to Malvolio........
ed84c Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 they seem bloody expensive, or is that just me?
Guest bkronbergs Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Well, they are a tiny bit, but when you look at what you are getting, you are getting a stunning deal!!!! My family now has an iMac, two iBook, an iPod, and an iPod mini
The Nacho Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Update! More icons! (Or rather, different ones)
bloodhound Posted February 12, 2005 Author Posted February 12, 2005 indeed, but most pple like me are too n00bs to switch to linux, and when they do they feel reallly aliented... i have to dual boot again , to get familar with lin0x
yummifruitbat Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 Now this is more like it - keep it clean & tidy, then when work gets too much for you, you can hit the beloved 'Show Desktop' button and clear your head. Works for me anyway. http://hangar152.kicks-ass.net/images/desktop.jpg Geographical pop-quiz: Can anyone identify the view? Clue: it's in the UK
The Nacho Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 I have a Linux desktop. I partitioned about 10 gigs to it. I'll post a screen soon. (Frankly, Windows is only good because almost all games run on it, Linux is much more stable.)
1veedo Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 There are plenty of games for Linux. Alot of the big game engines are open source. I guess alot of 'commercail' games arent though. Whihc kindof sucks.
Guest Sithlordmike Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 i just got a pic of the Professor from futurama
The Nacho Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I'm not saying that the Linux games are bad, it's just that major game develepors like Atari and EA and Ubisoft, etc. don't make any games for Linux. (Even if they did, I would NEVER be able to play any games that MICROSOFT makes on Linux. It's sad. Everbody should get along. Somebody should fuse Windows and Mac and Linux. It could be called "Windacux". Win-dah-kuks. It would have the games of WINDows, the U.I. of mAC, and the stability of linUX...
kotake Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Here is my current desktop, but the image changes automatically and often.
Silencer Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I know a lot of linux users do some pretty wild and good looking things with their desktops, but mine is just the plain, default Enlightenment look.
Radical Edward Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Is it even legal to get it off of Bittorent? of course it isn't
