lemur Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 How do people get authority to host a facebook page for dead people? Can anyone set one up about anyone as long as no one else has done so yet?
Kidd ren Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 How do people get authority to host a facebook page for dead people? Can anyone set one up about anyone as long as no one else has done so yet? It's just a communal page for people to communicate.
CaptainPanic Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 How do people get authority to host a facebook page for dead people? Can anyone set one up about anyone as long as no one else has done so yet? I do not think that there are any exclusive rights, meaning anyone else can do the same.
Kidd ren Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 I do not think that there are any exclusive rights, meaning anyone else can do the same. Of course, but do you think its necessary to set up two page for the same subject?
swansont Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 The Einstein page on facebook has been opened,It's a wonderful platform for people who are interested in theoretical physics and relativity to communicate each other. Kinda like an online science forum, only with a less convenient discussion format? ! Moderator Note Advertising isn't permitted, in any event.
CaptainPanic Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) Of course, but do you think its necessary to set up two page for the same subject? Necessary? No. Will the internet duplicate successful ideas? Yes. Kinda like an online science forum, only with a less convenient discussion format? Exactly. I would see no reason to abandon this wonderful forum and go to facebook instead. Edited March 28, 2011 by CaptainPanic
lemur Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Kinda like an online science forum, only with a less convenient discussion format? And the focus of facebook is personal identity (and dare I say "ego"?). Whereas the focus of online discussion is the content of the discussion (ideally, anyway).
