boris_73 Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 what density does nitric acid have at 70% conc, and what density does sulphuric acid have at 80% conc
Gilded Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Oh, sorry, I read that you meant that both have equal densities. Silly me. It seems that pure H2SO4 has a density of 1.8g/cc. So 80% H2SO4 20% water has a density 1.64g/cc, or then I'm too tired to do simple math.
boris_73 Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 i have read that conc nitric acid has a density of 1.73g/ml where would i find the densitys on the internet because if there is a source with densitys of acids then that would help just to clarify
boris_73 Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 i think i have found the density of 70% concentrated nitric acid it's 1.42g/ml
boris_73 Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 and i know 70% conc sulphuric acid has density of 1.61g/ml
