NSX Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 Could it be that the make-up of atoms and other sub-atomic particles are actually like fractals? That is, a pattern going on for infinity?
zakfab Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 I don't think so, my logic (which is undoubtedly flawed) says there will be some fndamental particle, probably not a quark, but not much smaller.

I wouldn't be surprised if they showed up in some arrangements of atoms and whatnot, but I think I'd be a bit surprised if it had something to do with the actual makeup of the atoms themselves. Who knows?
