gshubham96 Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 (edited) I intend to improvise the existing Air cooler. I am attaching a tube which compresses and de-compresses the air so that it cools.the cool air then goes into the air cooler to give out more cool air. Is my theory right ? I also want to attach a dynamo to the motor shaft so that it produces energy while using it. Thanks in advance Edited April 29, 2011 by gshubham96
TonyMcC Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 (edited) It looks to me that you heat the air by compression and then cool it back to the temperature it was by decompression. That means you don't achieve an overall drop in temperature. Perhaps you could use cooling fins on the outside of the narrow part holding compressed air so that decompression then further cools the air? Not my field so this is just a suggestion. Schrödinger's hat Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 TonyMcC is right. Unless heat leaves the air somehow in the compressed stage it won't really cool. What do you want this for?
