wormsplicer
Can a bulb planted in the ground ( eg tulip ) move up or down in the soil in order to establish its optimum growing conditions?
Hal.
http://www.ehow.com/...ant-tulips.html I don't know if this video will be available to you as the link may not work but the information I extracted from the page , says , dig holes 3 to 4 times as deep as the bulb is wide , usually about 6 to 8 inches deep . I planted tomato seeds way too deep at 35 mm and they are only to be planted at 10 mm or so and they all had no problem finding the sunlight after a few days . If you actually mean , does the bulb move up or down to be in the best place it can be , I would just think it starts to make roots if conditions are good and genesis has begun .
