A phenolic resin is a mixture of different chemicals (so it doesn't have another name than 'phenolic resin').

Once it has reacted, it forms a branched polymer which could also react with the stuff arount it - in this case the fabric or something. I think it will react with almost any -OH group. So, it becomes a very complicated molecule which doesn't have an official chemical name.

 

My suggestion is that you either keep the name as you have it now: phenolic resins for laundry ink, or alternatively, look for a brand name (the name of the product and the name of the manufacturer).
