Amr Morsi Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Power is a feature of any machine. What are the limitizers to the power of any machine? Is it only Energy per element, together with the rate? Or, also friction, design, load, .......? Conceptually, is there another or just one?
CaptainPanic Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I don't think there is a fundamental limit... maybe the amount of power per kg that you can get from nuclear fusion?
Amr Morsi Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 Isn't friction for example, limits the max velocity, and hence affects the power?
CaptainPanic Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 With a theoretical unlimited power you can overcome all friction. There are no fundamental limitations other than the speed of light itself. Every limitation is practical (and there are lots). I suggest that you read up on a couple of definitions, because I get the feeling that you are mixing up some words (like power, velocity, friction, viscosity).
Amr Morsi Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Don't feel so. I do mean every word I say. Thanks for your advice. Edited August 8, 2011 by Amr Morsi
