YT2095 Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 just out of curiosity, when was SFNs 1`st thread and Post, who was it by and is it still here?
Skye Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I imagine the first would have been a test by blike.
Primarygun Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 Which core persons firstly talk in this forum?
Sayonara Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 This is the first thread in the table: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5
YT2095 Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 07-05-2002, 10:59 PM nice one thanx Sayo! I figured it may have been in the Mod forum, and so I did a look from the beginning. like the above poster said, there were some tests posts, but this seems to be the original cheerz, it`s nice to know how it all Kicked Off
Gilded Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 It's always nice to see that a science-related forum starts with a post about explosions. :> Remember to celebrate SFN in the year 3002!
YT2095 Posted October 16, 2004 Author Posted October 16, 2004 Oh Good point! I`ll make a note in my Diary ))
5614 Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 This is the first thread in the table: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5 the end bit "t=5" t is thread (presumably,) so im guessing there were 5 test threads first "I`ll make a note in my Diary ))" ... just set a reminder on my phone!
Gilded Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 The previous four were probably test threads. And what makes you think that if that's thread #5, then there are 5 test threads before it?
5614 Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 the end bit "t=5" t is thread (presumably,) so im guessing there were 5 test threads first well the "presumably" and the "so im guessing" were meant to give the impression that this was not certainly true!
Gilded Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 Well the 5th doesn't certainly look like a test but an announcement... Or something. Whatever, doesn't really matter. Anyway, blike will be remembered and celebrated in 3002 for the starting post of the Oh So Magnificent SFN.
Dapthar Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 The previous four were probably test threads. And what makes you think that if that's thread #5, then there are 5 test threads before it? [ joke ] 5614's probably a CSci Major, so he started at 0, and counted "0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5", and arrived at 5 threads. [/ joke ]
5614 Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 thanks dapthar! anyway, that 1st post was on 07-05-2002, 10:59 PM, so on the 7th may 2005 we can have a party! thats two days after my birthday, so hopefully i will try and remember!
ed84c Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 It's always nice to see that a science-related forum starts with a post about explosions. :> Remember to celebrate SFN in the year 3002! well life will be dead by then due to DA 1950 hitting earth in 2800, after the americans attempt to blow it up but actually kill themselves under friendly fire from the presidencey of GBush Junior Junior Juniour Jun....etc
Gilded Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 "well life will be dead by then due to DA 1950 hitting earth in 2800, after the americans attempt to blow it up but actually kill themselves under friendly fire from the presidencey of GBush Junior Junior Juniour Jun....etc" Sounds about right. If Bush wins the elections, please, vote for someone else in the next one. Cthulhu is a good choice - you want to choose the lesser evil don't you?
