psi20 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Hey. I was wondering how to black out text when you're in a forum so that when you try to read the page, you just see it blacked out but when you highlight the words, then you can see what it says. Actually, I was more interested in applying this technique to Wordpress so that I can make tutorials for myself, by blacking out the words so I have to fill in the blank while I'm reading, but still have backup for myself in case I forget.
ewmon Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 (edited) Highlight it and designate its color as white. It becomes visible when you highlight the text. Highlight the next line to see an example of this. You're really whitening the text, not blackening it. Because the background color isn't a perfect white, you can see something, but probably can't read it. Edited September 16, 2011 by ewmon

Type what you want: Question: What did the chicken die of while crossing the road? Answer: Fowl play. Wrap the spoiler text with text[/ spoiler] tags, minus the space between / and spoiler. Edit: Oooooh, it's even cooler in IPS. I like the little "show" button.
Phi for All Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Haha. Thanks. You're purple. Just kidding. Actually, you're self-tutored. Seriously, you're welcome.
Guest lab_supplies Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Thats great to know. Is there anyway to change the text of the button spoiler though?
alextui Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I don't think you can. Thats great to know. Is there anyway to change the text of the button spoiler though?
Seiryuu Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Thats great to know. Is there anyway to change the text of the button spoiler though? I'm not sure with this forum provider, but I know there are some where you can make the spoiler equal to a string and it'll say whatever it wants you to say.
