jillG Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Does anybody know the best adhesive/protein coat for cell attachment, I'm currently using fibronectin. Thanks
ScienceShark Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 Actually it depends what kind of cells are you using. In case of PMN's (human neutrophils) you can use α-Polylysine. It is commonly used as an attachment factor to improve cell adherency.
CharonY Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Depends also a bit of on the cell types. For some, fibrinogen may actually reduce adhesion. But as mentioned, polylysine is commonly used. Also primary amines. Also, the type of coating can influence cell growth and morphology.
