Lance Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Sorry lance yes it was 5614 and sorry 5614.10 A Well thats stuffed my plans for bomfire night. Dam IEE wiring regs. Who in their right mind thought a 13 A outlet would be enough. Can’t you just use another outlet with a different breaker? Or you could probably use two outlets in parallel. But would you really want your first coil to be that big anyway? Theoretically my coil should draw 3 amps.
YT2095 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Can’t you just use another outlet with a different breaker? Or you could probably use two outlets in parallel. the 1`st idea is the best if you can get the phase right. the second idea`s not so good, as ring mains won`t allow it, you`ll still be drawing off the same "wire" so to speak. thus a local fuse should be all you need as long as it`s within the cable rating
RICHARDBATTY Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I was being silly realy. I could disconnect the upstairs ring and use that or use the cooker outlet as that should cope with about 20A constant. How much would it cost and where do you get wire with that kind of insulation.
