Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the bright star in the eastern sky. I have only noticed it over the past ten years, but it is large and many others have noted its brightness too. Any info would be helpful

I don't know too much about star arrangements, but my guess is that it's either a very large star that's fairly far away, or another planet in the solar system.

It could be a supernova, maybe nobody else noticed it.

Could be a UFO... or Venus....

You should at least mention whether you're on the northern or southern hemisphere, because the night sky is totally different on both sides.

Make sure you either do it at night or adjust the time (the website will default to using current time). In the UK Jupiter is in the east in the early night.
