Mad Mardigan Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I just bought a 19inch LG LCD monitor, and I am running dual monitor with my 19inch crt flatscreen. All I have to say, Im glad I waited for the speakers and went with a new monitor instead.
Jake712 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Interesting. Sounds like the exact opposite of mine. Bulkier depth, smaller screen size. Doesn't even have OSD, only lights to adjust.
indignity Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I use a single 19"... my roommate uses 2 21" flatscreens I'd really like to get an extra... I've been feeling the need for an extra since I've been writing more code... but I really lack the desk space =P (and money... but hey)
Sayonara Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Monitor 1: 1600*1200 @ 75Hz Monitor 2: 1024 * 768 @ 72Hz Can't remember if mine is 19" or 21"
5614 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 i just use a 15" flat screen! Everywhere I use a computer regularly has a 15” flat panel monitor, so because of that and to save money that’s what I got! Also I don’t find I need massive monitors as I am quite close to them, also im not that fussy with screen size. it would still be cool to have a massive screen, but wait until i have the money to waste on one!
YT2095 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 not being a windows bofin, how do I find out My screen res? I CAN tell you that the monitor on this machine is a 14" and all the others are 17", but the pixel res on this one`s better than the others.
5614 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 right click on the desktop > properties but thats windows, so im not sure, what are you on linux or mac? also im guessing you don’t know from when you bought it!
YT2095 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 in that case mine`s set to 1152 X 864 pixels and I`m in High Color 16 bit. thnx for that oh and I didn`t buy this one, it was donated as an atempt to stop me using my Amigas all the time
5614 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 well thats quite an ok resolution monitor. what refresh rate do you have right click desktop > properties > settings > advance, somewhere around there!! also 16bit colour is quite low, see if you can increase to 32bit... just go where you found 16 bit and it should be a drop down menu. "oh and I didn`t buy this one, it was donated as an atempt to stop me using my Amigas all the time :)" -- YT2095 LOL, nice one lucky guy.
YT2095 Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 my card is only a 4mb card if I rem correctly 60hz here as refresh, it`s a RIVA 128 chip on an ASUS V3000 series V2.06 but hey! it`s great for a freebie
