Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 I have created a forum dedicated to programming of both calculators and computers. Currently it's just starting, so don't be too offended by the color scheme. I still need to straighten that out. Please join. If you do join, and I get plenty more members, I might just make some of you moderators. http://s8.invisionfree.com/ComputerGeek/index.php?
Sayonara Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Not unless you accomodate scripted languages too
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 23, 2004 Author Posted October 23, 2004 Just put in "Internet Scripts" forum. If you want more, just say so.
5614 Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 i really dont know many programming languages, unless you really want me to, i dont intend on joining.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 23, 2004 Author Posted October 23, 2004 It's not just languages, there's also computer discussion and stuff. It's basically a computer geek's forum.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 23, 2004 Author Posted October 23, 2004 We only have a few members now. Please join. The more that join, the more likely I am to make another mod for you. Then the forums grow, etc. I'd really like it to be a large forum.
Sayonara Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Do you mind if I hijack this thread, turning it into a general free-for-all "please join my [insert topic here] forum" thread?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 23, 2004 Author Posted October 23, 2004 I wouldn't mind, I guess, since then it would get more publicity...
Sayonara Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Yeah, it will get more bumping that way. People who join just to advertise will of course have their posts deleted, in line with the site rules.
Sayonara Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 There we go. Now to whore my own wares. After two years of alternately developing the concept and avoiding doing any work, I have finally started work on the beta test for Armada Wars. So for anyone who wants to be involved in the beta test, now is a good time to get on the forums. What is Armada Wars? - Forums Home The forums at Starfleet Archive seem to have died. Make them live again! Forums Home
J'Dona Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 I could direct my brother to your forum if you want, Cap'n Refsmmat. He's just starting his second year of a computer games programming course, but I'm not sure if that's the sort of programming you were looking for. If he joins you would recognise him because his handle would probably contain a variation of the words doom, kawphy, and/or muffin. Correction: He joined using his other most common username. Bob.
MolecularMan14 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 If i knew more about all kinds of Comp Programming, I would join, but I only really know some GML. I'll make sure my friend (my business associate) gets a hold of it. .
ed84c Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 well as i seem the most enthusiastic here, you better make me a mod eh Capt?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 New forum, that works a lot better. http://s8.invisionfree.com/ComputerGeek/index.php?
YT2095 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 if you don`t mind ANCIENT `puter geek stuff, incl Hardware Hacks and interfaces TTL or CMOS, I`ll be glad to help when time permits I`ve reg`d anyway. ya never know, there maybe someone with a 1970`s or 1980`s machine that wants parts/help/programs
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 Okay, thanks. I'm trying to recruit people I know personally as well.
MolecularMan14 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Well, I just referred my associate (thesensei). He should have some fun there Good Computergeeks think alike...perversely
J'Dona Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 Just to warn you Cap'n, Bob probably won't be posting until there are some questions being asked in the C family section, and he'll respond then. Just so you know you won't have a member #2 with zero posts (him getting that was just fluke by the way; I saw you update this with the new link four minutes after you did, so I just contacted him then and rejoined within a minute).
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 25, 2004 Author Posted October 25, 2004 I don't mind, as long as we have some "experts" on the board. Wow, 8 people in one day!
MolecularMan14 Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 lol, well I would say there're some experts now btw...why is there a ninja smily? lmao, Im not complaining, I just cant really find a good use for one (mischievous?)
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 25, 2004 Author Posted October 25, 2004 lol' date=' well I would say there're some experts now btw...why is there a ninja smily? lmao, Im not complaining, I just cant really find a good use for one (mischievous?)
